About
Want to immerse yourself in a weekend of fun, challenging and supportive drum education? Sign up to a drum camp today!
Join me for two full days of drumming education learning fresh concepts, interesting techniques and new skills to improve your drumming. Students will have an opportunity to learn new drumming vocabulary, as well as explore concepts allowing them to utilise their existing knowledge effectively.
These drum camps are built around you, with a curriculum specifically curated to help you work towards achieving your drumming goals and unlocking your playing potential. Upon completing your drum camp booking, you will be asked to fill in a carefully crafted questionnaire to help both you and I check in on your drumming journey. Think of it as a drumming MOT. Your answers will then be considered and woven into the two-day curriculum to help shape the group's collective area of focus, meet your learning needs, and help you work towards your goals.
There are 8 spaces available for each drum camp. Providing a supportive environment for all abilities, these group sessions will be packed full of fun, challenging and inclusive exercises that students can work on together. It will be a space for drummers to meet, share their experiences and develop new drumming relationships.
Whch level drum camp is the right one for you?
Total Beginner
New for 2025, the total beginner camp is an opportunity to launch your drumming journey. These camps are built to lay the foundations of your drumming, covering the basics to build your confidence and give you a starting point of which to build your own drumming vocabulary. In this camp we’ll start at the very beginning: from setting up the kit, stick grip and counting all the way to playing your own drum beats, first drum fills and how to play along with music. So whether you’ve just started playing the drums, or have perhaps never picked up a pair of sticks before, this camp is a safe, friendly and encouraging space for you to grow and most importantly have fun.
Suggested grade level 0-1 (please note this is just as a guide: drumming grades are not required to attend drum camps)
Beginner Plus
These drum camps are specifically for drummers who are between beginner and intermediate. Perhaps you feel like an intermediate drummer in some areas but at the same time a complete novice in others? In this camp we’ll look to develop your drumming vocabulary, technique and control to help you take that next step. Studying practical and essential drum beats and fills to get you ‘gig ready’ and help raise your standard of drumming to new levels.
Suggested grade level 1 - 3 (please note this is just as a guide: drumming grades are not required to attend drum camps)
Intermediate
These drum camps are for drummers who have been been playing for a while and are looking to push themselves further. Students will have an opportunity to learn new drumming vocabulary, as well as explore concepts allowing them to utilise their existing knowledge effectively. This camp will look to challenge drummers, whilst teaching how to become more creative on the drum kit. I’d suggest having a good understanding of how to play a range of drum beats, fills, rudiments and songs as well as solid timing and perhaps some experience of playing in front of others. If you're an intermediate drummer looking to challenge and develop your skills as part of a fun and supportive collective, this is the one for you!
Suggested grade level 3 - 5 (please note this is just as a guide: drumming grades are not required to attend drum camps)
